# Glossary

**BTF ($BTF)**

The native utility and governance token of the BeeTrade Finance ecosystem.

**Hybrid DEX**

A decentralized exchange that combines centralized order execution (for speed) with on-chain settlement (for transparency and security).

**Order Book**

A system that lists all buy and sell orders for a trading pair. BTF uses a centralized order book for fast execution.

**AMM (Automated Market Maker)**

A type of DEX model where users trade against liquidity pools. BTF uses an order book instead for tighter spreads and faster fills.

**Staking**

Locking tokens ($BTF) in a smart contract to earn rewards and participate in governance.

**Genesis NFT**

A limited-edition NFT from BeeTrade’s first drop, designed to unlock platform utility such as fee discounts, staking boosts, and launchpad access.

**Revenue Sharing Pool**

A rewards system where a portion of BeeTrade’s protocol earnings is distributed to Genesis NFT holders.

**Launchpad**

A platform module that allows vetted projects to raise funds and launch their tokens. Access is gated by $BTF or NFTs.

**Governance**

The mechanism through which $BTF token holders and NFT holders vote on protocol upgrades, listings, and treasury usage.

**Avalanche C-Chain**

A smart contract–compatible chain where BTF is deployed. Compatible with MetaMask and standard ERC-20 wallets.
